Kings page

Kings page-This page is dedicated to our Kings here at Rumblepaws Cattery. Our Kings are an important part of the beautiful and healthy kittens we produce. Our Rumblepaws males are an integral part of our program and contribute genetically to the health, type, and temperament of each kitten born. Not only that but our boys offer gorgeous open rosettes, crisp clear colors, and markings. Because of this they are the stunning Kings of our castle.

Rumblepaws King: Urban Safari’s Abacus of Rumblepaws:

*HCM screened (normal healthy heart)

*Pk Deficiency N/K

Abacus is the first boy on our Kings page. I don’t even know where to begin about this boy. He has the most gorgeous hues in coloration I have seen on an adult Bengal. Abacus has a very tight short pelt that is just loaded in glitter and ultra soft to the touch. An extremely muscular body type and build where you can literally see the sinew of his muscles when he walks, is playing, or just stalking a toy. Not to mention his head is everything a male Bengal should be, extremely masculine and large with a wide jowl line. He could never be mistaken for a female even at a glance.

To set off his features Abacus comes complete with absolutely huge “owl like” emerald green eyes so round and large that they just draw you in.  Very ultra sweet in personality  and he loves being on our shoulders while head butting for affection and kissing our cheeks.  A special thank you to Teresa Redding for this wonderful boy.

Rumblepaws King: Leopardsrealm “Nightwing” (aka Marlo) :

Pk Def: N/N   PRA: N/N  HCM screened (normal healthy heart)

Another great addition to our Kings page is Nightwing. A special thank you goes out to Nial for entrusting Shelly and I with this very special boy. Nightwing (aka Marlo) was named by my daughter (an avid DC comic fan) after the DC super hero franchise. Nightwing will be an asset to our programs with his stunning inky black features, stunning markings, and whited tummy. He is a very big male with huge paws and also very loving and most definitely a “foodie”. He is always near when the kitchen is active and loves to mooch. A very playful male who comes when he is called and loves his belly rubs and pets. We just adore this boy! We are very excited to have him for our girls. A thank you for use of some of the younger/baby photos also goes out to Nial.

King: Apex Exotics Patriot of Rumblepaws (aka: Patriot Rebel or Patrick)

*HCM screened (normal healthy heart)

*Pk Deficiency N/N (no copies)  PRA N/N

Patriot is a gorgeous boy who has so far proven himself to add great color and contrast enhancement into our program. Patriot has a whole lot going for him in both looks and personality. Beautiful bold pattern, intense facial markings, jet black outlined rosettes, great whisker pads, large almond shaped nocturnal eyes, small rounded ears. Our King Patriot also offers outstanding contrast, a very clear, crisp, pale almost white background color which makes his markings just “pop”, all this and a fantastic pedigree to boot.

Accompanied by a very playful loving personality. At 10 months of age (Aug 2013), this boy had weighed in at 21 lbs, He is a very good sized male and is just complete rock solid muscle, and sinew. A VERY BIG boy. We are simply mesmerized by this gorgeous fellow whenever we look at him. A special thankyou goes out to Katie and Aaron Parongao of Apex Exotics for this very promising boy. Use of some pics in slide show compliments of Apex exotics.

Retired King Rumblepaws Amadeus.

Our loving male Rumblepaws Amadeus has been retired. He now lives in his loving forever home. Amadeus is in the most perfect retirement home with a very loving family close by. He will always be a cherished family member and visits from us are definitely in our future. Congrats to Josh and his family on welcoming Amadeus to join their family.

*Pk Deficiency N/N (no copies)

In contrast to Abacus’s coloration, Amadeus is our dark knight. He is a good sized boy and carries hues of golden browns with subtle undertones and hints of reds throughout his nice tight pelt. His markings are very dark and fall against an ultra super clear coat. This boy really stands out in a crowd. Exceptionally sweet in every aspect of personality and temperament. Amadeus is very friendly and very outgoing and falls in love with everyone who visits.  Wagging his tail like a puppy in excitement upon seeing us return home if we’ve been out for a short while.

Also…I have never seen a Bengal give hugs by wrapping their paws around your neck all the while licking your cheeks cause he is just so happy a boy. Probably one of the most loving males I’ve ever seen. A very gentlemanly ladies man, who is very considerate and sweet when being around and courting the girls. He truly is a knight in “shining” armor. Wish I could wave a magic wand and turn him into a human male…lol!  Too bad, they don’t make ’em like that anymore.

We have been experiencing issues with our contact form and receiving inquiries. We are working on getting this fixed. If you do not hear back from us directly within a day please contact us at our alternate email questionsatrumblepaws@protonmail.com

Should my Bengal be allowed outdoors?

Many new cat owners may think on the question of allowing their new addition to their family outdoors. Although it is beneficial to be able to allow your Bengal fresh air, sunshine, and a chance to hear the sounds of nature, it is not without its risks should they be allowed to free roam. I personally do not condone any Bengal to be allowed to free roam. If safety measures are in place and a means of containment such as a Catio, or enclosed play area this will keep your Bengal safe and also allow them to to be secure and enjoy the outdoors. Another means of safely allowing your Bengal outside is to harness train them at an early age. I personally recommend a Bengal “walking jacket” which I feel is more secure than a regular harness.  It is not uncommon if you choose to harness train that in the beginning for your kitten to try to wriggle free from what you put on them.  Until they get more use to wearing it over time which is why I feel the design of a walking jacket is much more secure during this initial training.

For those who still consider allowing their new kitties to free roam, I would like to give you a few things to think about and ponder that will hopefully give you pause in doing so and I will go over the risks here. Not only is your Bengal exposed to many larger outdoor predators which may view your kitty as a free meal, but they do not have the home field advantage in knowing the terrain, as well as the outdoor predators do. Escape routes or places to hide from being chased may become elusive for your kitty. And without knowing where to go there can be fatal risks.  They also are also exposed to the elements, and mother natures wrath should your kitty roam far and not find its way back.

It also should be noted that Bengal cats statistically are one of the top pure bred breeds to be stolen outdoors.  Because of their stunning markings and colors, and friendly nature they just may march right up to the first human that pulls their car over after spotting them and with hearing simply “Here kitty kitty” hop right in the vehicle and become someone else’s new pet.

Free roaming can also be detrimental for health risks. Should your kitty wind up going toe to toe with the neighborhood stray there are many feline diseases that can be contracted should a territorial fight ensue, along with physical harm coming to your pet.  Finally another reason to keep your kitty contained or harnessed is to protect the smaller wildlife such as birds, rabbits, squirrels, or other smaller animals that could become victim to your free roaming cat. It is only part of their dna to want to stalk, chase, and possible harm them should they spot these smaller animals outdoors.

Please keep your Bengal safe by having a containment/play area or harness train them. Never allow your kitty to free roam. It is much too dangerous to take this risk. Protect your beloved family member and keep them indoors if you do not have a containment area. There are plenty of window perches or window boxes that can be purchased online for your cat to enjoy the fresh air if you do not have a catio or play area. Protect your pet in keeping them safe by following these suggestions, that is the best way you can express your love for them.
